How Buyer Lookup works, what your credits buy, and how to reach a human. A real person reads every message at [email protected] — usually a same-day reply.
One credit unlocks a buyer in full — identity, firmographics, contract history, Rate X-Ray, and the AI review dossier, all at once. It's sticky per buyer: once unlocked, that buyer stays unlocked for you and refreshes are free forever afterward. New accounts start with free credits, so your first reveals cost nothing out of pocket. Credits never expire, and there is no subscription.
You're not charged. A credit is only spent when there's something to show — a name, contract history, or reviews. If a buyer comes back blank, the reveal is free, and we start tracking them so you get pinged if they post a job or we identify them later.
We only commit a company name when we're highly confident. Below that bar we still reveal everything we've mapped — the entity graph (brands, people), contract history, and reviews — but we hold the name and show a best-guess instead of asserting something we can't stand behind.
Reload the Upwork page. The extension mints its session from your buyerlookup.app login; on a cold page load it occasionally paints the signed-out state before that resolves. A refresh fixes it. If it persists, sign out and back in from the extension popup.
It reads the Upwork search and job pages you visit to find the buyer, and talks only to Buyer Lookup's API. It doesn't track your browsing anywhere else. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy and Terms.
Unspent credits are refundable for 14 days, no questions asked. If you've spent some, we refund the unspent balance. Email us and we'll sort it.
